Ah yes. It’s been quite a month, America. How are we feeling?

One of my favorite scenes from the Animal House movie is at the very end when the Delta House, after being expelled from Faber College, sends the parade crowd into a panic.

Ramming Speed!

The panic is starting to rise as the second Trump administration begins to tear away at the US Executive Branch. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an oxymoron, has been uncovering obnoxious and wasteful spending on all kinds of societal programs at USAID.

Simple database queries are showing people over the age of 130 continuing to collect Social Security payments. Wait until they start looking at Medicare and Medicaid, Mr. Kennedy.

The Department of Homeland Security has made a 180 degree turn now enforcing immigration laws instead of encouraging immigrants to enter America and move to sanctuary cities, providing mobile phones, payment cards and some even accommodations.

This. Is. Over.

Had Biden not won the Presidency in 2020, we may never have been allowed to see the levels of corruption that was inside and rotting our institutions. Whatever you might think, I believe the old system, Bretton Woods, is in its death throes.

In the United States, the elite class is losing. The entitlement class is losing. The corruption class is losing. “The People” are finally beginning to see a few wins.

Ending are the ridiculous EV mandates, DEI mandates, endless wars, endless spending. Meddling in foreign affairs and manipulating the media isn’t going to work anymore. Thank you Gen X!

This was coming, whether you voted for Trump or Kamala, this was inevitable. Only if Kamala was elected, the crash would had taken place later with worse consequences. Gen X (and possibly with some help from our kids, Gen Z) working behind the scenes, helped to elect Donald Trump back to President and this time, now X (Musk) and Z (Big Balls and friends) moving quickly to reform our US federal government. The resistance from Boomers (Schumer) and Millennials (AOC) are on their heels, but will return soon to cause obstruction and disruption.

The warnings were clear. All we wanted was to be left alone. You FA’ed, robbed our futures, now you FO. I’d bet we would call a truce if you cried Uncle. But we already know you won’t do that.

As you can see we are already throwing our weight around and even our neighbors are upset. Hockey fights in our 51st State and the Gulf of America LOL.

So buckle up, buttercups. 2025 is just the start of the end. The future is uncertain. We (Gen X) are here for the chaos as agents of change. As REM famously said, “It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.”

We were built for this.
