The Cold War – Part DeuX

Time for some 80’s awareness!  If you haven’t seen this yet, it is an instant classic.  Kevin Bacon Explains the ’80s to Millennials:  http://youtu.be/09q04Dlh7r8.  You people will never know the comfort…

Have we entered into the new Cold War???  Very possibly so.  Crimea – taken without a fight.  So will Ukraine become a throw back to Cold War Germany?  Will we have an East Kiev?  We shall see.  Back in the day, we did fear nuclear mutually assured destruction.  That thought ran through everyone’s head that we could possibly destroy the planet or at least the humans on it.  It’s something you can’t control, so we thought about it, but couldn’t really do anything about it.  So same today’s situation.  We spent a lot of time and effort winning the last Cold War.  It cost us, but it gave Eastern Europe at least a chance of self determination.  The difference this time is that the new “soviet” leader is craftier and smarter.

Looking ahead, this is setting up much like predicted in author Joel Rosenberg’s non-fiction book, Epicenter 2.0.  http://www.joelrosenberg.com/product-details/?isbn=978-1-4143-1136-4. Powers are re-asserting themselves and it seems as if the ultimate set of conflicts are just a limited time away.   This is an important book so I challenge you to download and read it.  Human history has a trajectory.

So here we are.  The new Cold War – feeling 80’s again.
